Slab Serif

Sommet Slab is a slab serif designed by Jeremy Dooley in 2010. Sommet Slab has an antiquated air that communicates seriousness. Yet its characters are full of an old-fashioned charm. Check out the way its lower case letter slope down to the baseline.

This typeface reminds us of Merriweather though it has more rectangular shapes. Sommet Slab ideal for a logo, titles or menu but we avoid it in the body of the text since its tight letters tire the eye.

The Squarespace catalog also includes Sommet Rounded and Sommet Slab Titling Caps, which we only use for titles and logos.
